A Georgian citizen has been detained in Poland in connection with the murder of a critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The information was published on social media by Tomasz Siemoniak, Poland's minister-coordinator of special services.

According to Siemoniak, officers of the Internal Security Agency detained a second suspect in the murder of a Russian citizen in Biała Podlaska, which took place in June this year. The detainee is a 22-year-old Georgian citizen, and he is suspected of aiding and abetting the murder of Robert K. The court ordered him to be held in pretrial detention for three months.

"The investigation is ongoing and may develop further," Siemoniak writes.

The case concerns the murder of Putin critic Siemion Skrepetsky (real name Robert Kuzovkov). He moved to Poland to live in 2021.

In the same case, another Georgian citizen, 36-year-old Elnur A., was detained near Warsaw on June 18. The court ordered him to be held in pretrial detention. In August, information emerged that he was linked to another murder case.
