7-Magnitude Earthquake in Tibet Kills 16

A magnitude 7 earthquake struck the Tibet region. At least 16 people were killed and 54 injured. The information is distributed based on China's state media, BBC reports.

The authorities declared a state of emergency and sent rescue teams to the site of the incident.

The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded in Bakan County of Nagchu region. According to reports, more than 300 houses collapsed, and power supply in the region was largely cut off.
