Journalist Dito Chubinidze of Asavali-Dasavali Remanded in Custody
The Tbilisi City Court ordered pre-trial detention as a preventive measure for Asavali-Dasavali journalist Dito Chubinidze, who was detained on charges of sabotage.
Judge Eka Barbakadze fully upheld the prosecution's motion. The accused himself attended the hearing.
The Prosecutor General's Office detained Domenti (Dito) Chubinidze on charges of treason, specifically sabotage. According to the agency, "since February 2026, Dito Chubinidze has been systematically spreading false and disinformation reports using various media outlets and social platforms."
