Sergo Metopishvili Elected Deputy Chairman of Constitutional Court
The plenum of the Constitutional Court elected Sergo Metopishvili as Deputy Chairman of the court, who will also chair the second college. The Constitutional Court disseminated the information.
By resolution of the plenum of October 20, 2020, in accordance with Paragraph 5 of Article 15 of the Organic Law "On the Constitutional Court", Metopishvili was elected by a majority of votes as a result of a secret ballot.
On the same day, the plenum also adopted a resolution on the formation of the court's colleges, in accordance with Paragraph 4 of Article 11 of the Organic Law "On the Constitutional Court".
The first college includes Vasil Roinishvili, who is the chairman of the college, Eva Gotsiridze and Goga Kikilashvili. The members of the second college are Giorgi Tevdorashvili, Sergo Metopishvili and Giorgi Modebadze.
