Man Detained Hot on Trail of Wife's Murder in Poti
The Ministry of Internal Affairs released information regarding the murder that took place in Poti. According to the agency, a man was detained hot on the trail on suspicion of murdering his wife.
According to the ministry, employees of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department detained one person on suspicion of intentional murder of a family member committed under aggravating circumstances.
The investigation established that on October 25 of the current year, during a mutual quarrel, the suspect strangled his wife.
According to the agency, as a result of operative measures and investigative actions, the perpetrator of the crime was detained hot on the trail.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 109 of the Criminal Code, Prima 11, which provides for imprisonment of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
