გიგი წერეთელი - დღევანდელი აქცია, პრაქტიკულად, არის კამპანიის დასაწყისი, 28 ნოემბერს დაგეგმილია დიდი და მნიშვნელოვანი აქციის ჩატარება

Gigi Tsereteli, leader of the "European Georgia" party, said that today's rally is the start of a protest campaign, and that a large and important rally is planned for November 28. He made the statement to the media near the first building of Tbilisi State University before the rally began.

According to Tsereteli, this protest is not the rally of any one party. In his statement, everyone wants democratic and peaceful change, and the denial of this right is happening today.

"Today's rally is, practically, the start of a campaign. A large and important rally is planned for November 28. What is happening in Georgia today, in terms of the collapse and destruction of democracy, is truly unimaginable against the background that we were a champion country on the path of European integration and today we are outsiders, parties are being banned and, in fact, political life is being restricted, not to mention political prisoners, which is also a major challenge, so it is completely natural that in any society that has even a slight pretension of having a democratic space in the country, there will be protest and there will be an expression of it. There is no more peaceful and democratic form of expression in many countries, and the current government, I think, does not understand this well", said Gigi Tsereteli.

According to him, all of this is disturbing people and people see it. The aim of the protest is for those who make decisions to listen. If they do not listen, the situation becomes more acute, which, according to Tsereteli's assessment, society definitely does not want.
