Georgian Dream deputy Tornike Cheishvili says that the motions filed by opposition parties at the Constitutional Court are similar to each other and reveal an intention to drag out the process. He made the statement after the court hearing, where the Constitutional Court was considering his party's lawsuit seeking the ban of five opposition forces.

According to Cheishvili, the intention to stretch the process to the maximum is visible "even with the naked eye". The reference is to delaying the stage that involves filing various types of motions.

The deputy stated that the motions filed by the opposition parties are "absolutely similar to each other".

"In fact, if we look closely, these motions are also absolutely similar to each other, and so-called party representatives are trying to express absolutely identical content in different terminology and different words and file the respective motions. No remarks were received on this during the proceedings. It is understandable that the central part of the case examination alarms them; the prospect that involves the question-and-answer stage of explanations, here the whole series of anticonstitutional actions indicated in our lawsuit will become even more visible," said Tornike Cheishvili.
