Sokhadze: Temporary Modular Schools to Be Set Up in Villages During School Rehabilitation

According to Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, temporary modular schools will be set up for students in the villages where school rehabilitation is planned, for the period of the works.
The minister said modular schools will be located on the same territory or nearby, so that children will not have to travel to another village. Sokhadze said the discomfort created for students during the rehabilitation period should be minimized as much as possible.
According to him, the ministry has already communicated with the school community and has determined the locations where the first stage of setting up modular schools will begin. Initially, about 10 such schools are planned to be set up, after which the project will continue.
Sokhadze said on "Open Ether" that the ministry has started creating typical school designs: "We have started creating typical school designs. About 10 typical projects are being developed for schools, which will allow us, let's say, that if tomorrow or the day after it turns out that a 500-pupil school needs to be built somewhere, we will not need a year to design it, but within two or three months we will be able to adapt this project to a specific plot of land, and construction will begin immediately".
According to the minister, the use of typical projects will allow the ministry to carry out the design work needed for the construction of new schools in shorter timeframes, if necessary.
Sokhadze also said: "You cannot take a negative position on everything just because you don't like someone politically. In the end, it becomes ridiculous. You have to read what it is about".
