Four Killed in Shooting at Oregon Elementary School

A 16-year-old opened fire at an elementary school in the city of Bend, in the US state of Oregon. Four people were killed in the attack, including three children. The information is being distributed by Reuters, citing local police.

According to reports, the attacker was neutralized by a local armed citizen.

According to Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz, those killed include children aged 5, 8 and 11, and one teacher. A 7-year-old student and a 54-year-old teacher were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

According to Krantz, a local community member, whose identity the police chief did not disclose, saw the suspect enter the school and pursued him.
