Kirtskhalia: Scheduling Majority Meeting on Saturday Is Routine Moment

Parliamentary majority leader Irakli Kirtskhalia said in connection with the majority meeting scheduled for Saturday that traditionally such a meeting has been held every Monday, and naming another date has caused speculation in society. According to him, this is a routine moment, and a statement will follow after the meeting.
According to Kirtskhalia, it is precisely the naming of another date that has heightened interest. On the "Imedi" broadcast he said: "It is logical that there is interest from society and especially from the media. You know that party life is ongoing, parliamentary life is ongoing. You know in what formats we gather. Everyone is used to the majority meeting traditionally being held every Monday, and when another date is named, this has caused speculation. This is a routine moment. A gathering can take place at any time when party life is ongoing. So, two days are left and there will also be a statement after the meeting".
The majority meeting of Georgian Dream was scheduled for October 17 at 14:00. Party MP Levan Machavariani notes that party honorary chairman Bidzina Ivanishvili will also attend the meeting.
According to Machavariani, at the meeting they will discuss current events in the country, including the issue related to the banning of parties.
