Zelensky: I Will Not Resign, Only Ukrainians Elect the President

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he does not intend to resign, because he considers the war his responsibility. Asked whether he could voluntarily leave his post, he replied: "Of course not. This is my responsibility".

According to Zelensky, only Ukrainian citizens can elect the president of Ukraine. "Neither Trump, nor Musk, nor anyone else in the world can elect the president of Ukraine. Only Ukrainian citizens can do that", he noted.

According to the president, some influential people want to replace him, because he will never recognize Ukrainian land as Russian land. Zelensky says: "If they remove me from power, I am sure that the new leader - whether a man or a woman - will defend our country. Because this is our home".

According to him, US security guarantees for Ukraine should include American strikes on Russia in the event that Russia carries out a new attack. "If Putin attacks Ukraine, Trump will strike Putin. If this is recorded on paper, this will also be a security guarantee", Zelensky explained.
