Musk: Starshield systems are owned by US government and subject to its control

According to SpaceX founder Elon Musk, Starshield systems are owned by the US government and are subject to its control. Any restriction related to speed or use will be determined by the US military agency and ultimately by the US President. Musk wrote this on social media.
According to him, Starlink is a commercial service owned by SpaceX, which the company controls. "Use of Starlink is limited to civilian or defense activities; its use for offensive military operations is not permitted, as that would be inappropriate for a commercial company," Musk says.
On Tuesday night, Starlink limited the speed limit in Ukraine to 100 miles per hour (160 km/h). This meant that any weapon moving faster than that would lose connection to the network. According to former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, the system was partially restored by Wednesday evening.
Fedorov wrote on X: "Fully lifting the speed limit for Starshield is currently critically important for Ukraine's defense". He thanked Musk and asked for continued support.
