Kallas: EU Foreign Ministers to Agree Largest Sanctions Package Against Russia on October 12

EU High Representative Kaja Kallas says that on October 12 EU foreign ministers will agree the largest sanctions package against Russia. She announced the statement on social media.
According to Kallas, this will be the largest sanctions package against Russia's "war machine" since the start of the war. Ministers plan to approve the package on Monday.
Kallas writes: "Russian strikes killed more than 80 Ukrainian civilians in two days. Moreover, it has intensified hybrid attacks against Europe, against EU member states and NATO allies at the same time."
In her assessment, suspending sanctions on Russian diesel gives Moscow more revenue for waging war. Kallas says: "There is no time to ease pressure on Russia, and Europe will not ease it."
