Herczynski: New EU Commission Enlargement Report to Be Published in Three Weeks

The EU Commission's enlargement report will be published in three weeks. EU Ambassador to Georgia Pawel Herczynski said this in an interview with the media. According to him, the previous report was devastating for Georgia, and since then the situation has deteriorated even further.
Herczynski also commented on the words of EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos: "Unfortunately, what Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos said is disappointing and personally saddens me very much, but this is the result of the consistent actions, legislation and anti-European rhetoric of the current government".
According to the ambassador, the High Representative and EU Commissioner for Enlargement will hold a press conference in Brussels, and he will organize another press conference.
Herczynski said the last report, published last November, was devastating for Georgia. Over the past year the situation has not improved; on the contrary, it has deteriorated even further in relation to fundamental freedoms.
"So, let's see in three weeks what the EU Commission's assessment will be," Herczynski said.
