Putin Meets Pezeshkian: Iran Seeks to End Conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Turkmenistan. Russian media report the information.
"Of course, today the most pressing issue in the region is the current situation. We know that Iran is really trying to end the conflict, the start of which in the region is not its fault," Putin said.
According to Russian media, Putin confirmed to his Iranian counterpart that Moscow is ready to help Tehran in every way in resolving the conflict. Speaking about cooperation between the two countries, Putin said it is developing successfully and strengthening on the basis of the signed agreement.
According to a statement from Pezeshkian's office, the parties focused during the talks on strengthening economic and strategic cooperation. The conversation touched on areas such as energy, agriculture, transport and trade.
Putin arrived in Turkmenistan to attend the CIS Council of Heads of State and the Caspian Sea environmental summit.
