Kobakhidze: Amnesty International has lost the trust of Georgian society

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that Amnesty International has repeatedly disseminated false information and statements based on disinformation. According to him, this organization has lost the trust of Georgian society. Kobakhidze made these remarks to journalists.
"This organization has very often disseminated false information and statements based on disinformation, and as a result, unfortunately, it has lost the trust of Georgian society. This is the reality. Therefore, I am not at all surprised by Rubio's attitude toward this organization," said Irakli Kobakhidze.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called Amnesty International a fraudulent organization on October 8. At a press conference in Lisbon, a Portuguese journalist asked Rubio about the use of the Lajes airbase in Portugal by the US and possible violations of international law. The journalist cited a statement by Amnesty International, according to which "Portugal should not support war crimes."
Referring to the organization, Rubio said that it should focus on the "military crimes" of the "Iranian regime" before humanity.
