EU Ambassador to Georgia Pavel Herczynski announced new projects in Telavi after the opening of the Europe Day event. Their total budget for 2026 amounts to 38 million euros.

According to the EU Delegation, "Europe Day 2026" visited Kakheti in order to better acquaint local residents with the European Union. The 38 million euros will be directed at supporting citizens, families and communities across Georgia.

"Within the framework of the EU with You (EUwithYou) programme, through projects based on a 30-year partnership, opportunities in education and employment will be expanded, household farms will be supported and food quality will be improved; support will be provided for the development of small towns and villages, economic opportunities for women will be increased, young people and vulnerable citizens, including in Abkhazia, will be supported, and environmental protection will be improved. This new assistance once again confirms the EU's commitment to the Georgian people and Georgia's European path," the EU Delegation said in its information.

The event "My Europe. My Future" was held at the "Mosmieri" winery.

"Europe Day in Kakheti brought together employees of the EU Delegation and EU member states, EU-funded projects, partners and local residents. Through culture, cuisine, dialogue and interactive activities, guests learned what opportunities cooperation between the EU and Georgia creates and how citizens are supported across the country," the information says.
