Surviving Brother in Lambalo: Shooting Began From a Car, My Brothers Died on the Spot

New details have emerged about the murder that took place in the village of Lambalo in Sagarejo Municipality. The only surviving brother of three, Elman Usufov, recounted the incident.
According to Usufov, at around 17:00 he was walking on foot with two of his brothers and a classmate. At that moment a car stopped and opened fire in their direction. Usufov says he took cover behind the car itself, while his brothers were shot at several times at close range and killed on the spot.
"There were 4 of us - three brothers and a neighbor. Suddenly the car stopped and started shooting. He fired many times. Nothing had happened in the past, we had no conflict. My brothers died on the spot. The police have already questioned me," said Elman Usufov.
Usufov does not have an exact answer about the motive for the murder. One version is being considered, which is linked to an incident several years ago. According to relatives of the victims, the alleged killer's brother abducted Usufovs' niece. The family returned the girl, after which the abductor left the country and died.
The suspect was detained by police in hot pursuit. The investigation is ongoing.
