A meeting between representatives of the Tbilisi Ilia Vekua Physics and Mathematics N42 Public School and the Ministry of Education and Science has ended. According to parents, they still don't know in what form students will continue their studies from Monday. The ministry promised that an action plan would be outlined within two days.

According to one of the parents, the agency offered alternative options: hybrid teaching, a second shift, and redistributing students among different schools, including the 51st Public School and other alternative schools. They also discussed moving part of the students to online teaching and leaving some students in the non-emergency part of the building. The parents said the latter proposal is categorically unacceptable.

According to the parent, they unanimously agreed on this, and the ministry's representative shared this position. Now the talk is that the ministry will negotiate and make some new proposal.

At the meeting, it was said that a search for alternative premises would begin, where students could fully hold lessons in classrooms during the first shift. In the future, there is also talk of renovating the building of the technical university and starting classes there from the next academic year.

In the words of a parent, "We are facing a rather difficult and acute problem. In two days, the academic process begins, and whether our children will be able or unable to return to school, we do not know."

Yesterday, information spread that the educational process at Vekua N42 School would likely be halted. The reason is the emergency building and the conclusion of an expert examination.
