TU Rector Expresses Condolences on Death of Professor Nino (Neli) Chichinadze

Georgian Technical University Rector, Academician Davit Gurgenidze, on behalf of the university community, expresses condolences over the death of Professor Nino (Neli) Chichinadze. The condolences extend to the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences and Chemical Technologies and the family of the deceased. The university describes her as an outstanding lecturer and a worthy representative of the technical intelligentsia.

In the rector's letter, it is noted that Nino (Neli) Chichinadze was a person of high professional competence, outstanding pedagogical talent and human dignity. Through many years of work, she made a significant contribution to the development of university life and the professional upbringing of the younger generation.

"The death of Ms. Neli Chichinadze is a great loss both for the Georgian Technical University and for the scientific and academic community as a whole," the letter says.

According to the university, Chichinadze spent most of her life at the Department of Organic Substances Technology of GTU. For students and colleagues, she was associated with warmth, fairness, standing by others and magnanimity. The generations she trained now work in scientific laboratories, higher education institutions and leading enterprises.

Her scientific activity included research of practical value, including the development of a simplified and improved technology for tannin production and the creation of bulletproof and waterproof materials for durable military-purpose vests.

GTU shares the grief of the family, relatives, colleagues and students of the deceased and pays tribute to the memory of the professor.
