10 Finalist Teams Named in "Millennium Innovation Competition"

The awards ceremony for the "Millennium Innovation Competition" will take place at the end of December. At the event, it will be revealed which three teams will become the winners of 2026.
The competition has been held in Georgia since 2014 and aims to promote the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and innovation among young people aged 13-17 across the country. Over 12 years, around 4,000 students from 999 teams have taken part, and the teams that reached the final have created 160 prototypes.
Young people can form teams and present a project in one of the following categories: space and aviation, cyber technologies and security, environmental protection, energy and climate change, healthcare and nutrition, applied technologies and applications, robotics.
This year, 123 team applications were submitted to the competition, and 437 participants took part in the marathon. In September, the independent jury named 10 finalist teams.
Liberty Bank, BasisBank Group has been the strategic partner of the competition for the fifth year now. With the bank's support, the team placing third travels annually on a study visit to Switzerland to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Teams placing second join international STEM projects and gain professional experience, while the first-place team traditionally participates in the university training program of NASA's Space Center in the US (Space Center University).
The public will be able to learn in detail about the finalist teams and their projects from next week. They will be able to follow them through the official social media pages of Liberty Bank, BasisBank Group.
The competition is implemented by the Millennium Foundation in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia. It is supported by the US Embassy, and the official partners are the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency and Liberty Bank, BasisBank Group.
