Rubio: No One Wins the War in Ukraine, Sanctions Pause Tied to Diplomacy Chance

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that no one is winning the ongoing war in Ukraine: people are dying every day, explosions are happening and everything is being destroyed.
According to Rubio, the US president has repeatedly spoken about the death toll and has said that 25,000 people are dying in this war every month.
According to the Secretary of State, Trump suspended sanctions for 60 days. "Trump suspended sanctions for 60 days because he wants to find out whether there is a possibility that the negotiations with Ukraine and Russia can lead to some positive result and prevent another devastating year of war and conflict," Rubio said.
A journalist asked what specific evidence the US has that Putin is ready for peace negotiations. Rubio responded: "What evidence? This is not a criminal case; it concerns diplomacy. In diplomacy, you don't give up on an attempt. Unfortunately, when it comes to conflicts of this type, which are quite complex and often deadlocked, neither side achieves a clear victory, while both sides inflict enormous damage on each other. And we will continue trying as far as it is possible."
Rubio was asked to comment on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement that the US had halted the sharing of intelligence information earlier this week. He said: "I don't know where he gets that information or why he talks about it to the press. There was no halt whatsoever. Zelensky should be focused on ending this war."
