An unidentified drone has fallen in Lithuania, no one was injured. The information was released by Vilmantas Vitkauskas, head of Lithuania's National Crisis Management Center.

According to him, the drone, which presumably entered the country's airspace on Sunday, October 18, fell near a moving civilian car. The driver was not injured.

Vitkauskas explained that the car apparently was in motion when the drone fell. According to him, red warnings were not observed. "Of course, people may not have understood, they may have thought it was safer to reach the nearest point and find shelter there. It is difficult to assess why this happened, but probably the main thing is that no one was hurt," he said.

The inspection of the area where the drone fell is ongoing. Some fragments and details have already been found, but not all of them, and the territory is still cordoned off. According to experts, the origin of the object will be possible to determine after all its details are found.

There is currently no exact information on whether the drone contained explosive material.
