Zelensky: Diesel Deal Is First Step, Easing Sanctions on Russia Will Continue

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the diesel deal is a first step and that the lifting of sanctions on Russia will continue. He made the remarks in a conversation with journalists.
According to Zelensky, easing pressure on Russia will not help bring the war to an end.
The Ukrainian president commented on the decision by US President Donald Trump, according to which the imposition of sanctions and tariffs provided for under the "Lindsey Graham act" against Russia has been suspended.
"I believe the diesel deal is a first step. Unfortunately, it is impossible to stop Putin this way. On the contrary, he is happy to have such support. Nevertheless, we hope that the US president will do everything to make Putin stop the murders, strikes on our energy sector and this war," Zelensky said.
