British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not leave London empty-handed. He said this in the House of Commons at the start of its weekly session, while answering questions.

Burnham pledged unwavering support for Zelensky and promised more significant military and financial assistance.

The British prime minister refrained from criticizing Trump, but noted that this was a "very dark and difficult moment" for Zelensky, who is currently carrying the "heaviest burden".

"My task in this position is to try to restore connections so that support returns, and therefore at this moment I must be careful in preparing the ground for bringing the sides closer. This is exactly the role I intend to play - it is the right role for me - at this moment. I will listen carefully to President Zelensky, but he will not leave Great Britain empty-handed today," Burnham said.

The Ukrainian president arrived in Great Britain on October 14 and has already met King Charles III.
