Estonia is joining Finland's call for the European Union to halt the issuance of tourist visas to Russian citizens for travel across the EU. Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna wrote about this on social media.

According to him, Russia continues its attack on Ukraine, bombing cities, destroying civilian infrastructure and killing innocent people, so it is unacceptable that Russian citizens can still travel freely to the Schengen Zone for tourism.

In Tsahkna's assessment, visa policy should reflect the severity of Russia's ongoing aggression. "The European Union must increase pressure on the Kremlin by all available means," said the head of the Estonian foreign ministry.

Margus Tsahkna also calls on the European Union to urgently adopt the necessary implementing acts to comprehensively ban Russian fighters from entering the territory of the bloc.
