Gvaramia: Party Ban Being Pushed to Completion at Accelerated Pace

Nika Gvaramia, founder of the Coalition for Change, wrote on social media that the reaction of government representatives to the European Union's decision is like that of Russians in general, in his words. According to Gvaramia, they do not consider giving a chance or compromise and see it as weakness.

According to Gvaramia, the ban on parties is being pushed to completion at an accelerated pace. He explained that the EU said it would not talk to countries in such a situation and to authoritarian regimes, and gave the ruling team a probation period until January: if they correct course, communication will be restored.

Gvaramia notes that he personally considers this a mistake and has told his European friends about it.

According to him, the government will also resume the sabotage case and arrest politicians. Gvaramia assumes that a verdict in the sabotage case may come sooner, because before the banning of parties, "aggressive" politicians and parties are needed.

"I am not guessing which will come first, I just assumed, but I have no doubt they will do both and more, so that in January the country will be even further from its cherished historic goal - the European Union," says Nika Gvaramia.
