Matsavariani: EU Bureaucrats Do Not Comment on Police Violence at Protests in France

Levan Matsavariani, First Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Faction of "Georgian Dream", published footage of the ongoing protests in France on social media and stated that "we are seeing unprecedented scales of violence by police officers".
According to Matsavariani, when the ruling team exposes EU bureaucrats for double standards, lies and spreading disinformation, this is always based on concrete facts and arguments.
According to him, during the violent demonstrations funded by Brussels in November-December 2024, which aimed to overthrow the government, only isolated cases of excessive force by individual members of the special forces were recorded. Matsavariani claims that about a thousand specially trained people committed violence against special forces officers, but only a few of them exceeded their authority. In his words, the state responded to these cases and the perpetrators were punished in accordance with the law.
Matsavariani also speaks about the events of October 4, and states that hundreds of violent demonstrators attacked the Presidential Palace. In his assessment, law enforcement officers prevented the attack with an operation carried out with jeweler's precision, so that not a single hair fell from anyone's head.
According to him, EU bureaucrats were presenting violence, the burning of police and parliament, and the attempt to storm the Presidential Palace as peaceful protest, while calling the repelling of the storming systemic violence.
According to Matsavariani, for about two weeks protests have been taking place in France demanding better study conditions. According to him, the information space is flooded with videos showing violence by police officers, often against children and women.
He added that during this time EU bureaucrats and MEPs, who called the attempt to burn a police officer in Georgia a peaceful protest and assess the actions of law enforcement agencies as systemic violence, have not made a single comment. According to Matsavariani, in effect, the Georgian government has been declared political persecution.
Matsavariani stated that the most tragic thing is that, parallel to this "criminal" silence, EU bureaucrats also refer to Saakashvili as a political prisoner in another, the 9th resolution.
At the end of the post, Matsavariani quoted the document of the current US administration's National Security Strategy: "Brussels is driving the European Union toward a civilizational abyss".
