Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that easing sanctions against Russia is a clear sign of weakness. According to him, Russia will "pay" for diesel with further terror and treachery.

Zelensky writes: "Without a clear and firm de-escalation agreement with Russia, easing sanctions against Russia is a clear sign of weakness. This plays into Russia's hands - it allows more people to be killed, the war to continue longer, less respect for America, and greater losses and damage to the world."

According to the president, Ukraine is ready to take symmetrical de-escalation steps and the American team knows its position. Zelensky says that strikes on Russian oil refineries and other oil facilities are a response to Russia's many-year terror campaign against Ukraine's energy sector.

According to him, Ukraine will not set fire to Russian oil refineries if Russia does not destroy Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Zelensky says that they are offering the Americans a similar agreement and believe the United States has enough power to achieve such a compromise.

Zelensky added: "Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world." He says that allowing Russia to sell oil products is an investment in a war that should end rather than be prolonged. Zelensky believes that real de-escalation with Russia on a mutual basis is necessary.
