Zelensky: Strikes on Zaporizhzhia Kill 12 as Russia 'Responds' to Diesel Sanctions Lifting

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia killed 12 people, including three children. Zelensky wrote on social media that Russia 'responded' to the lifting of sanctions on diesel exports by dropping five guided aerial bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia.
"Today, Russia expressed gratitude for the lifting of sanctions on diesel exports by dropping five guided aerial bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. At this moment, unfortunately, twelve people have been killed, including three children. I extend my condolences to their families and loved ones. Fourteen more people were injured, two of them in critical condition - doctors are fighting to save their lives," Zelensky wrote.
According to him, last night once again confirmed that any easing of pressure on Russia is perceived as if they can continue the fighting and drop bombs on cities.
"Different signals are needed. Russia must understand that the war must end, and for that to happen, Russia must feel its losses. Right now, our long-range capabilities are ensuring this, and we will respond to Russian strikes. I thank everyone who is helping us," the Ukrainian president added.
