Davitashvili's Mother Responds to Prosecutor's Decision: "This Government Stands on Lies"

Irma Davitashvili, mother of convicted Giorgi Davitashvili, responded to the Prosecutor's Office statement, according to which the investigation into the alleged sexual violence against her son has ended. According to her, she had no other expectations.

According to Irma Davitashvili's statement, Irakli Kobakhidze began his speech by saying that the investigation had been concluded in a timely manner, at Kobakhidze's order, as if no criminal actions were evident.

"I expected nothing else, because this government stands on lies. Let it be on their conscience, and I wish that such Trapaidzes and others visit their families and homes and carry out such a procedure on them," said Irma Davitashvili.

The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has concluded the ongoing investigation into the alleged sexual violence against Giorgi Davitashvili. According to the agency, the evidence obtained shows that no violence or criminal act was committed against Davitashvili during his examination in the de-escalation room of the facility. Accordingly, a decision was made to terminate the criminal investigation.
