One Person Detained Over Stabbing of Young Man in Marneuli
Officers of the Marneuli District Division of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained one person on charges of intentionally inflicting grave bodily injury.
The investigation established that the suspect, during a verbal altercation in Marneuli Municipality, used a bladed weapon to inflict grave bodily injury on a young man. The injured man was taken to a clinic for medical assistance.
According to the Ministry, law enforcement officers detained the suspect right after carrying out operative measures and investigative actions.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment of up to 7 years.
