Eka Kupatadze: Giorgi Malania and Aleksandre Gabashvili Were in Close Relationship

The mother of murdered teacher Giga Avaliani, Eka Kupatadze, states that two judges have already included in a ruling Aleksandre Gabashvili's intention to carry out the attack. According to her, Giorgi Malania was a student of Giga Avaliani and Giga knew him, so he would not have been useful to Gabashvili for the attack.

Kupatadze explains that photos taken from the case materials, which she retrieved and published, show that Malania and Gabashvili had quite warm, cooperative and close relations. According to her, the evidence is abundantly solid, substantive and meaningful.

Kupatadze says that Nia Imnadze's father asks her who asked Gio to give the address to a completely unknown person, and Nia Imnadze answers: "Why unknown, they had such a close relationship for 3-4 days?". In Kupatadze's assessment, this means that they were already friends.

According to her statement, Gabashvili did not know Giga at all, yet still killed him. Kupatadze says that the circumstance that Giorgi Malania was not at the scene changes nothing and that he is being accused of assistance. According to her, Demetre Chikovani and Rikadze were with Malania to assist in the fistfight.

According to Kupatadze, photos show that Saba Kasradze, brother of Demetre Kasradze, holds a Japanese dagger in his hand, and then Aleksandre Gabashvili poses in the elevator with exactly this weapon. According to her, it is also alarming that Saba Kasradze is the child of a Georgian language and literature teacher at public school No. 130, who has this photo on her profile and congratulates her child on their birthday.

Kupatadze states that the murder of Giga Avaliani is so large-scale, dangerous and abhorrent that if everyone is not punished properly and with the full severity of the law, including minors, those who are encouraged by their impunity will "cut people down with swords drawn" and we will no longer be able to stop this process.

Giorgi Malania is being accused of assisting in causing group, intentionally grave injury to the health of Giga Avaliani. He has been charged under Article 25 and Article 117, Part 3, subparagraph "l" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
