According to prosecutor Vakhtang Kharebashvili, there are both formal and factual grounds for applying detention to Vato Kipiani, Avtandil Bilanishvili, also known as "Katsro", and Shota Kipiani.

In the case of Vato Kipiani, the prosecutor cites the risk of committing a new crime, going into hiding and obstructing the investigation. According to him, Kipiani's personal characteristics and criminal record must be taken into account. The prosecutor also says that if the defendants are at liberty, it may be difficult for the victim to voice their position in court.

According to the prosecutor, there is also a risk that Avtandil Bilanishvili will commit a new crime, go into hiding and obstruct the investigation. According to the prosecutor, the victim was one person and three people physically attacked him. According to him, Bilanishvili has been convicted multiple times, including for carrying a cold weapon.

The prosecutor stated: "Avtandil Bilanishvili, also known as "Katsro", has been fined about 30 times, with fines of 1500-2000 GEL, for driving without a driver's license. He has not paid any of the fines and enforcement proceedings are underway."

Regarding Shota Kipiani, according to the prosecutor, there is a risk of continuing criminal activity and obstructing the investigation. In the prosecutor's words: "The charge takes into account Shota Kipiani's personal characteristics, the victim's testimony and video recordings. Shota Kipiani has been convicted several times in the past, including for damage to human health. After that, other sentences have been handed down against him, including for extortion and threats".

According to the prosecutor, Shota Kipiani committed the new crime while on probation. The state prosecutor said that if he is convicted, the suspended sentence will be reactivated, which may cause him to go into hiding.

Vato Kipiani, Avtandil Bilanishvili and Shota Kipiani are charged with group violence. They were detained on October 14 in Tbilisi in connection with a physical confrontation at one of the restaurants. They were charged under Article 126, Part 1, Subparagraph "b" of the Criminal Code (violence committed by a group), which provides for imprisonment of up to two years.
