Kirtskhalia: Once Foreign Funding for Agentura Was Restricted, So-Called Charge Disappeared

Kirtskhalia, leader of the parliamentary majority, responded to the rally organized by the "Opposition Alliance". According to him, after foreign funding for the "agentura" was restricted, the so-called charge fizzled out and disappeared.

According to Kirtskhalia, the ongoing protest actions in the country were based on "commission and dirty funding". "We have always said that the rally had no basis whatsoever, these rallies were based on nothing. They were based solely on one thing: commission and dirty funding. What funding it was and what it was used for, society saw very well, including through the results of the investigation", he said.

Kirtskhalia also spoke about issues discussed at the majority meeting. According to him, they discussed the agenda of the plenary session of parliament and other current topics, including consideration of the law on banning parties at the Constitutional Court. He noted that the most topical issue this week will be the ongoing process at the Constitutional Court. The lawsuit is submitted by four deputies from the majority.

According to Kirtskhalia, today was very important at the Constitutional Court, because "all speculative questions were answered for society as a whole". In his assessment, both sides had the opportunity to present their reasoning, and the statement of their representative was extremely important.

According to the majority leader, they are doing their utmost in drafting the lawsuit and forming their position so that "once and for all the country comes out of the circle called the agentura network activity on the opposition flank".
