Bilanishvili's Lawyer: Bilanishvili Did Not Inflict Injuries on the Feiqrishvilis

The lawyer of the so-called criminal authority Avtandil Bilanishvili ("Kaotsro"), Tamar Abesadze, states that information claiming Davit and Giorgi Feiqrishvili were injured by her client is false. According to her, Bilanishvili and the Feiqrishvilis are housed in different buildings of Gldani Prison. The lawyer's comment is being distributed by Interpressnews.

Abesadze says that the Feiqrishvilis' mother is not objective on this issue: "The mother is speaking about this, but in this case the mother is not objective. Emotions may overcome her and she may speak about her suspicions. These are only her suspicions and do not correspond to the truth". According to the lawyer, she will not provide evidence confirming which building Bilanishvili is in and which building the Feiqrishvilis are in.

Abesadze explained that a time will come when they will file a lawsuit over the dissemination of information damaging Bilanishvili's reputation. According to her, the case is being investigated, and the Inspector General's Office and the Public Defender's Office are also involved.

The Feiqrishvilis' mother and lawyer previously stated that several people inflicted physical injuries on Davit Feiqrishvili in his prison cell, including Vato Kipiani and Avtandil Bilanishvili. According to the lawyer, Davit Feiqrishvili had broken ribs and facial bones, and his skull was damaged. The lawyer also said that Davit Feiqrishvili inflicted self-harm and was taken to the Viva Med clinic twice, on October 19-20. According to his statement, Giorgi Feiqrishvili also slit his veins on October 19.

On October 25, the Feiqrishvilis' mother said she had been informed that Vato Kipiani and others had also entered Giorgi Feiqrishvili's cell. This information was not confirmed by the lawyer or the Public Defender's Office after visiting Feiqrishvili.

The Feiqrishvili brothers were arrested on September 22 on charges of group violence and extortion. On October 2, it became known that a new case had also been opened against them: they are accused of unlawful legalization of 10 million GEL. Vato Kipiani and Avtandil Bilanishvili were arrested on October 15 in connection with a brawl at a restaurant. All of them are currently in Gldani Prison No. 8.

Vato Kipiani was previously charged with planning the liquidation of the Feiqrishvili brothers. In 2020, the State Security Service announced that the Ukrainian Security Service had prevented their murder through a joint operation. According to the prosecution's version, Kipiani, who was in Ukraine, was planning the attack. In 2021, after being expelled from Ukraine to Georgia, he was arrested. According to Kipiani's lawyer, he left prison after 9 months of detention because the court failed to establish his guilt.
