A protest rally has been announced outside the Constitutional Court of Georgia building in Batumi. The rally will take place alongside the hearing of a lawsuit seeking to declare five opposition forces unconstitutional.

Representatives of opposition parties will begin the rally on October 21 at 11:00.

According to Bondo Tedoradze, a member of the United National Movement, representatives of opposition forces and citizens will gather outside the court building from morning. He also said that the Constitutional Court, where the issue of banning political parties is to be discussed, will host one of the most "shameful and criminal" processes in Georgia's history.

"On October 21, one of the most shameful and criminal court processes in Georgia's history will take place in the Constitutional Court. You know that the Russian government is planning to ban parties. We will gather and plan to take part in the court process; lawyers will attend the process in person, and we will protest this crime outside the building. In a civilized country that claims development, democratic and Western values, such processes are neither taking place in the present nor planned for the future," said Bondo Tedoradze.
