Araghchi: Iran and Russia Have Never Cooperated as Closely as They Do Now

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran and Moscow have never cooperated as closely in history as they do now. He wrote this on social media after meeting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to Araghchi, the meeting covered a wide range of issues from Europe to West Asia, including the situations in Lebanon, Palestine, Ukraine and Yemen.

"Attention was also paid to expanding economic and nuclear cooperation. In our history, Iran and Russia have never cooperated as closely as they do now," the head of the Iranian foreign ministry said.

Sergei Lavrov arrived in Tehran on a working visit on October 19. He also held a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
