Trump: I Will Not Walk Away From Russia at the Negotiating Table, Zelensky Does Not Want to End the War

US President Donald Trump writes on social media that his decision regarding Russia is very simple: he is conducting negotiations on establishing peace in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and does not want to do anything that would, in his words, foolishly push Russia away from the negotiating table.

Trump says: "Significant progress has been made, including in the ongoing negotiations on the hostages! Signing this document at this stage will lead to exactly that; I can sign it later, or at any time, when I myself want to! What may be even more important: Russia is doing very little (if anything) to help the Islamic Republic of Iran, compared to what it could have done. I want the situation to remain as it is and will remain so, provided that foolish people do not get in the way".

Trump claims that attacks on Russian oil refineries seriously harm world markets. According to him, Zelensky is targeting diesel refineries in Russia and knows that this harms world diesel markets, including the US market.

Trump writes that farmers, livestock breeders and various types of businesses are greatly harmed as a result, while Russia, despite this, supplies millions of barrels of diesel to the world at low prices. According to him, Zelensky is not concerned about this, and Trump also mentions the funds that, in his statement, Europe transfers to Zelensky, and the money that "the con man Joe Biden" gave him in the past.

In Trump's statement, Zelensky does not want to end the war and probably never did: "Two years ago he could have reached a much better agreement than he can now. His country has been turned into ruins, he has lost a large part of its territory, he no longer has access to oceans and seas, and the number of men in his country has decreased - there are wounded and/or dead. I want this war to end!"
