Witkoff to travel to Norway and Russia for Ukraine-related talks

US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff will travel to Norway this week, where another round of negotiations on ending the ongoing war in Ukraine will take place. Reuters reports this, citing informed sources.
According to the sources, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is also expected to attend the meetings. Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, whose participation in the negotiations was planned, will join the meetings remotely due to his health condition.
Zelensky, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, representatives of the E4 (the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Poland), the European Union and NATO will take part in the discussions in Oslo, which are expected to precede the negotiations.
According to two people familiar with the matter, Witkoff also plans to travel to Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin. Planned talks in Russia will address various issues related to Ukraine, as well as the release of US citizen Stephen Hubbard, who was arrested in Russia in 2022.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the schedule is preliminary and may change.
