Constitutional Court Judge Manana Kobakhidze's powers have been terminated early. The court said this was done on the basis of a personal statement.

"Constitutional Court of Georgia judge, Ms. Manana Kobakhidze, on the basis of a personal statement, by Order No. 2 of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court, her powers as a judge of the Constitutional Court have been terminated early, effective from October 13, 2026. The Constitutional Court of Georgia wishes her success in her future endeavors," the information says.

Earlier, the Constitutional Court did not satisfy Kobakhidze's motion regarding self-recusal from considering the constitutional claim related to the banning of political parties. According to the court, Manana Kobakhidze applied to the court on October 9 regarding self-recusal.

Parliament elected Manana Kobakhidze as a member of the Constitutional Court on February 8, 2017. Her 10-year lawful term as a judge would have expired in February 2027.
