Zodelava's lawyer: plea agreement signed within framework of general offer

Maia Mumladze, lawyer of Murtaz Zodelava, said after the end of the court hearing that a plea agreement had been signed with her client within the framework of the general offer. According to her, Zodelava confirmed at the first trial that he did not intend to abandon anyone, and during these proceedings he confirmed his position, decision and manhood.
Mumladze explained that the agreement was signed only within the framework of the general offer that everyone, including through television, heard, and which concerned readiness for plea agreements. In her view, this opportunity now really exists, and if anyone decides to take this step, they may leave prison.
The lawyer said that, as a family member, she greatly supports Zodelava's decision: "I think all prisoners should leave prison as soon as possible, and if this today becomes a path and opportunity for anyone, I will be only happy." In her words, righteous people should be at liberty as soon as possible.
Mumladze added that she is confident Zodelava will explain his decisions and positions himself when he leaves prison.
The case of Murtaz Zodelava, Lasha Beridze, Guri Zhvania and Irakli Chkhvirkvia, convicted in the case of the events of October 4, has been separated into a separate proceeding. After this, they will sign plea agreements.
