Zelensky: We Do Not Want 'Yalta-2', European-Russian Security Architecture Is Dangerous for the EU

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with CNN that he had learned the American side wants to discuss the idea of a European-Russian security architecture, and that this could be dangerous.
"I have heard about a certain security architecture, that the American side wants to discuss the idea of a European-Russian security architecture. This is not simple, and it may also be dangerous," Zelensky said.
He said that in the negotiations, the focus should first of all be on ending Russia's war against Ukraine and on security guarantees for Ukraine.
"It is dangerous that they do not want to talk about how this war should end. I mean Russia. They want to start discussing a new security architecture in Europe. This is dangerous. This is more dangerous for the European Union than for us. We do not want 'Yalta-2'. We are not ready for such a format. We do not want Russia to manage to divide us," the Ukrainian president said.
US President's representative Jared Kushner posted on social media that the Donald Trump administration is creating a new framework for European security that will be based on sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Trump personally met with Kirill Dmitriev, the representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the White House. After the meeting, Trump said that an agreement between Russia and Ukraine could be signed soon and that all of Europe might be involved in it.
"I can't tell you what I talked about. I'm just telling you there will be an agreement, a big agreement, and there will be more parties involved in it than Ukraine. Maybe even all of Europe will be involved in it. It will be a great and wonderful agreement that everyone will be thrilled with," Trump said.
