Zelensky: Russian Army Lost 54,400 Killed or Badly Wounded in October

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 54,400 Russian army servicemen were killed or badly wounded in October. This is the highest monthly figure since the start of the full-scale war.

According to Zelensky, Ukrainian defense forces liberated 96.2 square kilometers of the country's territory in October. This is 10.4 square kilometers more than the territory occupied by Russian forces in the same period.

"Russia is suffering losses. We are holding our positions, liberating territory and ensuring that every day of the war costs the aggressor as much as possible. To stop these insane losses, Russia needs only a ceasefire and diplomacy," Zelensky said.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces compared the occupiers' October losses to the population of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. According to the General Staff's assessment, this equals about nine military parades on Red Square or about 200 Moscow Metro cars.
