According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia is preparing ballistic strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure ahead of trilateral negotiations. He wrote about this on the social network X.

According to Zelensky, Russian forces launched 172 drones and 36 ballistic missiles toward Kyiv and surrounding regions overnight.

"The capital faces serious problems with electricity, water and heat supply. In Kyiv Oblast, a strike was carried out on a substation that connects the Rivne and Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plants with Kyiv and central regions of Ukraine. Substations were also damaged in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Kharkiv and Dnipro oblasts," Zelensky writes.

He said he hopes that support from the United States will increase.

"We hope that the US Congress will pay more attention to Ukraine, as Russia is increasing the number of attacks. It is important that support for Ukraine remains among the priorities of US policy. We hope that both parties will be united on issues of security, support for Ukraine, condemnation of Russian aggression and strengthening sanctions against Putin," the Ukrainian president states.
