Gorduladze to Garamia: Ivanishvili never received budget funds, he personally filled the budget

Archil Gorduladze, chairman of the Legal Issues Committee, responded to Nika Gvaramia's statement. According to Gorduladze, Bidzina Ivanishvili has never received budget funds during his public activity, and for years he personally filled the country's budget, while the treasury had problems during the rule of the "United National Movement".
Gorduladze claims that Gvaramia also attempted to cast a shadow on Ivanishvili's charitable activities. In his assessment, Gvaramia "dared" to do something that is unbecoming even for a figure like him.
"First of all, I note that Bidzina Ivanishvili has never received budget funds during his activity; on the contrary, for years he personally filled the country's budget, when precisely during the period of the "United National Movement" government the treasury had problems," Gorduladze said.
According to him, the honorary chairman of Georgian Dream paid salaries from personal funds, not a single tetri of which was earned in Georgia, to teachers, soldiers, police officers, members of parliament and thousands of public servants, so that institutions would not collapse. Gorduladze says that Ivanishvili built modern-type barracks and work buildings for the army and police, and fully equipped the security system with vehicles, military ammunition and necessary equipment.
Gorduladze added that Ivanishvili financed the construction and renovation of 400 schools from personal funds, because parents could not send children to schools due to great risks to life and health. According to him, Ivanishvili transferred the money directly to the budget, and then Gvaramia's government boasted about the renovation of schools.
Gorduladze explained that Ivanishvili and his family have never considered this as charitable activity, because these expenses were sums the Georgian budget had to bear, and there was no mechanism for that at the time. Instead of the budget, Ivanishvili personally financed a public system vital for the functioning of the country.
Gorduladze says that Ivanishvili personally financed and continues to finance representatives of culture, sport, science and other fields. According to him, the charity carried out by Ivanishvili in Georgia exceeds two and a half billion dollars.
According to Gorduladze's statement, a few years ago the honorary chairman of Georgian Dream transferred his entire property and assets to the charitable foundation "Cartu", and today the foundation continues to implement hundreds of charitable projects in Georgia.
"Although everything is well known to our society, society knows very well about the material, political and social charity Bidzina Ivanishvili has given to the country, but I considered it necessary not to leave Gvaramia's insolence unanswered," Gorduladze said.
