Russian Missile Strike on Kyiv Kills 1, Injures 10

Russia launched a missile attack on Kyiv. According to Ukrainian media, one person was killed and 10 were injured. Among the injured are students living in a shared dormitory.
The Ukrainian Air Force warned in advance that there was a threat of a ballistic missile attack from Russia's Bryansk Oblast. Later, information also emerged about missiles being launched toward Kyiv from Chernihiv Oblast.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the strike occurred in the Desnianskyi district, near a metro station. He later said that as a result of the bombing, one of the medical facilities in the Dniprovskyi district was damaged.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russian ballistic missiles hit the territory of a university and its surrounding area in Kyiv: a student campus, Kyoto Park, the area near a metro station and residential buildings.
Zelensky wrote on social media: "When the threat is constant, when strikes can happen at any moment and threaten cities and villages directly, artificially delaying the supply of air defense means to Ukraine fuels terror. It is important that the agreements reached at the political level be implemented immediately at the level of teams. It is essential that our partners understand: Ukraine needs adequate means to destroy the launchers of Russian ballistic missiles. This would be the most effective way to save people's lives. It is important for the world to see that Russia shows nothing but murder and a desire to continue the war. Ukraine must not be left alone in facing this challenge; the continuation of the war and the deaths of people are solely Russia's fault. Please take care of yourselves. All partners must stand by Ukraine to protect people's lives."
