Tbilisi 'Saturday March' Underway as Davitadze Family Joins Rally

The traditional 'Saturday March' is underway in Tbilisi. Participants of the rally gathered at the 'Avlabari' metro station and are heading toward Rustaveli Avenue. The march will end at the Parliament.

Members of the family and supporters of convicted Giorgi Davitadze joined the rally.

Davitadze's father called on the public to show support. In his words: "I call on all parents and relatives of prisoners: do not back down. Let no one dare to hide the filth that is going on in the prisons, so that our guards are not given a mood for more torture and inhuman treatment".
