Irakli Kupradze, one of the leaders of "Lelo for Strong Georgia," views the fact that Manana Kobakhidze's authority as a judge of the Constitutional Court was terminated ahead of schedule on the basis of a personal application as a sign of the ruling team's "system collapse." According to the opposition politician, with this step Kobakhidze "avoided complicity in crime."

Kupradze writes: "The departure of Manana Kobakhidze from the Constitutional Court points to three things: Manana Kobakhidze avoided complicity in crime. The consequences of this will be very severe for the country and personally. Those who still fail to realize what a grave crime the abolition of political parties would be, I hope will now at least reconsider. This is another sign of the system's collapse, when even the most trusted cadres of Bidzina Ivanishvili refuse to carry out the criminal assignments given by Irakli Kobakhidze".

According to the Constitutional Court, Kobakhidze's authority was terminated on the basis of a personal application.

Earlier, the court did not satisfy Kobakhidze's motion to recuse himself from considering the constitutional claim related to banning parties. According to the court, Kobakhidze applied with a request for self-recusal on October 9.

Manana Kobakhidze was elected by Parliament as a member of the Constitutional Court on February 8, 2017.
