Freight Wagon Injures Miner at Tkibuli Mine

A miner was injured at the Tkibuli mine. He was struck by a freight wagon. The injured man has been placed in a clinic.

The Interior Ministry explains that the investigation is being conducted under Article 240 of the Criminal Code. This article concerns violation of safety rules during mining, construction or other work.

According to the Criminal Code, violation of safety rules during mining, construction or other work that caused a less serious or serious injury to health "is punishable by a fine or correctional labor for up to two years, or imprisonment for up to two years, with deprivation of the right to hold office or engage in activity for up to three years or without it".
